the brilliant and wondrous adventure
of meditation

The greatest joy is to make peace with your own mind and awaken to the freedom that is your true nature. If you are not in contact with this inner wellspring of joy, then discontent will undermine your happiness and create chaos in your life. This is a vital, fundamental truth.

The busyness of our minds has been compared to a monkey bitten by a scorpion. Meditation enables us to work with and tame this monkey mind, and to enter into inner peace. True meditation lies in the space between thoughts and is a spontaneous and natural occurrence. Through it we develop the insight to release old patterns of behavior and enter into a renewed and healing place; it creates an inner spaciousness that enables us to stay balanced, even in the midst of chaos. We deepen our understanding of both ourselves and others, through loving-kindness and consideration. Meditation enables us to connect with a profound level of personal acceptance and wholeness, and offers us the tools we need to live skillfully in the world.

We use the time-honored techniques of the traditional Yoga and Buddhist teachings, as well as our own experiences of how to live with an open heart in a constantly changing and challenging world. We have trained with some of the world's most respected meditation teachers and are unique in blending the wisdom, compassion and skillful means of the Eastern teachings with the complexity of the Western mind.

We can release layers of inner stress through Inner Conscious Relaxation (ICR), also known as yoga nidra; stabilize the mind with Samata or Breath Awareness meditation; and open the heart with Metta meditation or the path of friendliness and loving kindness. We counterbalance the stillness of meditation with movement—walking meditation and hatha yoga.

Entering into silence together can be profoundly transformative; we also share and explore in a safe, supportive and relaxed environment.

We work with small and large groups as our programs are tailored to meet the needs of the moment, from simple talks to ten-day retreats. We have taught in boardrooms, school halls and at international conferences. We accept invitations to teach.

May all beings be happy.
